Job Description This position will be a float between multiple Texas Oncology locations for the region. They will frequent Dallas Presby, Sammons, and Medical City the most. The possible locations are listed below: • Dallas Presby: 8196 Walnut Hill Ln Ste 100, Dallas, TX 75231 • Sammons: 3410 Worth St Ste 160, Dallas, TX • Medical City: 7777 Forest Ln Ste D400, Dallas, TX • Plano Presby: 6300 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX • Plano East: 3705 W 15th St, Plano, TX We are actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a float between multiple sites. This role is essential in delivering high-quality infusion services to oncology patients in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have oncology infusion and clinic experience, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. Patient Care & Workflow: • Support teams of at least 8 providers and 2 Nurse Practitioners, alongside the radiation department and GenOnc. • Manage 36-chair infusion suites, serving 70–90 patients daily. Collaborate with teams of 6+ nurses, each typically seeing 9–11 patients per day. • Administer injections, infusions (both chemo and non-chemo), hematology treatments, iron, and other IV therapies. Therapy Administration: • Prepare and administer therapies under physician supervision. • Ensure accurate administration of all medications and blood products, following correct dosage, route, timing, and technique. • Confirm pre-authorizations and consent forms are completed prior to treatment when applicable. Patient Assessment & Education: • Assess patient and family needs, providing education and instructional materials. • Monitor labs, consult protocols, calculate doses, and collaborate with physicians on dose modifications and symptom management. • Demonstrate strong drug education skills, ensuring patients and families are well-informed about chemotherapy protocols, potential side effects, and medication safety. Technical Skills: • Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices. • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care and treatments. • Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and ensure proper charge capture.
