Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is currently looking to hire a skilled Registered Nurse role with their client in Valley Cottage ,NY location .

Shift Hours - 8am to 5pm (M-F)
Pay - 90,000/Annually
**Job Summary:**
The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or complex medical needs, and will play a key role in providing clinical assessments, medication administration, emergency response, and health education.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform comprehensive clinical and physical assessments of students and adults across various programs.
+ Provide ongoing monitoring, triage, and first aid; follow up and document all emergent medical concerns.
+ Administer medications and treatments, including monitoring and recording vital signs.
+ Develop, evaluate, and update individualized plans of nursing care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
+ Identify and respond to medical emergencies; coordinate referrals and follow-up care.
+ Provide supervision and direction to LPNs and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) based on nursing care plans.
+ Offer training and in-service education to staff regarding health-related practices and OPWDD regulations.
+ Monitor, support, and provide oversight for AMAP-certified staff, ensuring regulatory compliance.
+ Participate in IEP and Life Plan meetings, advocating for individual health needs and rights.
+ Maintain and order medications, medical supplies, and durable medical equipment.
+ Track attendance and coordinate return-to-program plans following illness or hospitalization.
+ Keep updated health records including immunizations, physicals, prescriptions, and therapy authorizations.
+ Maintain a safe and clean work environment in line with OSHA and infection control standards.
+ Manage AED records and keep current Cardex systems for all program participants.
**Qualifications:**
+ Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of [Insert State].
+ CPR/BLS certification required; NRP and AMAP certification preferred.
+ Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience, preferably in a school, behavioral health, or developmental disabilities setting.
+ Knowledge of OPWDD regulations a strong plus.
+ Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and provide clinical leadership.
