Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Registered Nurse in Batavia, New York! This role is in person / on site. Please read below and reply with an updated resume for consideration: **Type:** Six-month contract, opportunity for extension or fulltime offer **Schedule:** Full time, 12-hour shifts - Day, Night, Overnight, Weekends available **Pay:** $32.00 an hour, $3.00 differential for overnight shift **Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse:** · Responsible for each patient and for linking patients to the physicians and to outside medical resources. · Participates in the Interdisciplinary Team Meetings when necessary to inform the clinical team about medical issues and is available for emergency medical situations. · Responsible to provide medical & history screens, providing routine nursing care and overseeing the medical and psychiatric management of the patient in coordination with the attending physician. · Completes the following documentation within 24 hours of the patient’s admission to the program: a) Admission Note, b) Nursing Assessment, c) Pre-Screen Testing, d) HRS Consent Form, e) Patient Health Examination · Transcribes Physician’s Orders and implement all Medical Protocols as ordered · Administers medications and monitor detoxification process, confers with and assist the Medical Director and the PA/NP · Ensures Universal Precautions of the unit, observe and assess patients for clinical signs and symptoms and follow prescribed course of treatment · Determines and implements specific detoxification protocols as designated by the Medical Director · Assists with emergency situations and make immediate referrals · Meets with patients requesting to see the doctor to determine the urgency of their medical needs and expedite treatment as required · Effectively communicates concerns about patient health to the Medical Director and follows up as necessary · Facilitates medication education for new patients and for all other patients starting new medications **Qualifications for the Registered Nurse:** · Associates in Nursing · Active and good standing RN license in New York · 1-year experience in a chemical dependency/psychiatric setting, preferably in a detox unit and/or inpatient, partial hospitalization and/or outpatient setting required. · Current BLS certification · Preferred knowledge of addictions and mental health complications **Why work for Adecco?** · Weekly Pay · 401(k) Plan · Skills Training · Excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits **IMPORTANT:** This **Registered Nurse** role is being recruited for by Adecco’s Healthcare & Life Sciences division, not your local Adecco Branch Office.
