Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: + Provide comprehensive WIC-related services, including nutritional counseling, to all categorically eligible patients, ensuring their health and wellness needs are met. + Conduct thorough nursing assessments in the Reproductive Health Clinic by taking detailed histories, performing physical exams, and administering essential lab tests such as pap smears, genprobes, HIV, and pregnancy screenings. + Deliver case management and follow-up care for reproductive health patients, assisting Nurse Practitioners with clinical procedures and executing medical orders accurately. + Perform medical histories, genital and bi-manual exams, and collect lab specimens to test for sexually transmitted infections (STDs), including HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia. + Administer treatments for STDs under standing orders after specialized training; provide counseling, education, and disease prevention strategies to patients and their contacts. + Coordinate clinic activities and duties in collaboration with supervisory staff to support effective STD program operations and quality assurance audits. + Educate patients across all programs on disease prevention, health promotion, and provide case management for communicable diseases such as tuberculosis and STDs. + Administer immunizations with appropriate counseling, maintain detailed electronic health records, and ensure up-to-date patient screenings. + Participate actively in emergency preparedness initiatives, including training for natural disasters and medical special needs shelter operations, while contributing to ongoing professional development and team meetings.
