Minimum Qualifications Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: + Provide medication management, medication monitoring, and education to clients and family members with regard to medications, mental and physical health and well-being, illness management, and recovery. + Administer intramuscular injections of psychotropic medications. + Check and document in the client's EHR: vital signs, injections, education, nursing assessments, urine drug screens, urine pregnancy tests, finger stick glucometer testing, TB testing, and HIV testing. + Provide nursing assessment for clients admitted to addictive disorders services, and may provide nursing assessments on clients with mental or co-occurring disorders. + Coordinate and conduct clinical care and case management referrals to all clients assigned to the Wellness clinic and Hope clinic. Completes transition/discharge planning as needed. + Respond to medical emergencies which present/occur at District's clinics involving clients, employees, volunteer staff, and visitors, providing first-aid and basic life support as needed.
