Hourly range for Registered Nurses $41.78-$64.81/ hour Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour Night Shift Differential- $4.00 / hour Day Shift Weekend Differential- $2.90 / hour Evening Shift Weekend Differential- $5.90 / hour Night Shift Weekend Differential- $6.90 / hour Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour **What Benefits can you Look Forward to?** Excellent medical, dental and vision coverage 2:1 Match on retirement savings and immediate vesting Generous Paid Time Off Allowances Robust tuition and certification support programs Large offering of no-cost CEs and professional development for advancement **Responsibilities*** + Provide direct nursing care to the adult otolaryngology patient being scheduled for surgical procedures in the clinic treatment room. + Assist providers during minor and complex clinic surgical procedures by preparing sterile equipment and management of instrumentation and inventory. + Responsible for maintaining treatment room grid, acting as point of contact for treatment room scheduling, and treatment room maintenance inclusive of, but not limited to supply ordering, instrument management, and medication orders. + Provide nursing care for the adult otolaryngology patient population through use of procedures and protocols. + Provide coverage and additional nursing support for nursing team and their respective divisions/service lines in the Department of Otolaryngology. + Provide nursing care to otolaryngology patient’s through collaborative relationships. + Provide telephone triage and advice and provide patient education for acute and chronic otolaryngology conditions including pre and post-op care, direct clinical care, and nursing documentation using the Epic system. + Assist in maintaining patient flow in clinic and support assistive staff as needed. + Participate in adult otolaryngology clinic team meetings to continually improve clinic processes. + Collaborate with other health care team members and associated resource persons to ensure continuity of care across all care environments + Assist in the development and implementation of competencies, protocols, and patient education tolls to improve patient care. + Candidate must be able to function with a minimum of supervision and be highly motivated to provide excellent care and patient advocacy. + Candidate must possess high level critical thinking skills and clinical judgement to care for patient with complex otolaryngology conditions. + Practice quality improvement utilizing LEAN concepts in daily work. + Maintain knowledge of nursing practice by utilizing current nursing and healthcare literature for information and problem solving. + Be willing to travel to other otolaryngology clinics with the expansion of the department. **Nursing Specific Info** Salary & Nursing Framework Level: This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C. Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire. Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F. One (1) year (within the last three years) Operating Room RN experience including scrub and circulating duties. Two (2) years of RN experience (within the last five years) providing direct care to the adult surgical patient population. Location: Taubman Center Otolaryngology Clinic. Potential to travel to offsite clinics to provide nursing support related to the growth of the otolaryngology department. Work location may be variable.
