Registered Nurse (RN) Antepartum Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Full Time, 36 Hours; 7:00pm - 7:00am Antepartum Department highlights: * Unit is currently under renovation * Level IV Maternal designation * Texas Ten Step member * Supportive, inclusive environment Here's What You Need * Diploma in Nursing or * Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required * BSN preferred * One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program. * One year of Antepartum/Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred * RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required and * BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and * NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required and * NRPA - Advance Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required and * IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 12 months required and * CPI - Crises Intervention Prevention training within 90 days and maintained annually required What You Will Do * Assesses the patient * Plans the care of the patient * Intervenes as appropriate * Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions * Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. * Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information * Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
