                   Registered EEG Technician – Neuroscience Services

Work hours: Full Time Nights (7P-7A); 36 hrs/week. Days will vary, weekends will be required periodically

Here’s What You Need

·       H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required

·       R.EEG T. – Registered EEG Technician Upon Hire Required

·       1 Year EEG experience Required

·       BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

 What You Will Do

·       Performs EEG tests as appropriate

·       Knows correct recording electrode as well as their appropriate sites

·       Performs patient assessment to assure diagnostic testing is relevant to patient testing needs

·       Makes all previous applicable procedures available for interpretation

·       Differentiates between electrode artifact and true abnormal brain wave activity

·       Connects and monitors long-term EEG studies in the ICU and EMU
