The Louisiana Veterans Homes is seeking a detail-oriented and organizedRegistered Dietician to oversee and manage the operation of our Dietary department. This role is vital to ensuring their role in providing nutritional care in health and disease, and in a general clinical and/or production area. The ideal candidate will have strong inventory management skills, supervisory experience, and the ability to maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: The Registered Dietician requires both administrative and clinical therapeutic dietary work for the Louisiana Veteran's Home and will perform specific functions such as: + Calculates, writes, adapts, and modifies diets or menus to meet individual needs. + Counsels and teaches patients and their families the practical and technical aspect of the diet as it relates to the particular patient's health problem. + Implements nutritional assessment care plan for patients with severe nutritional problems. + Plans and implements a quality assurance program related to the nutritional care of patients.
