Registered / Certified Behavior Technician
Registered/Certified Behavior Technician (RBT/CBT) Start Date: February 23, 2026 Hours: 37.5 per week Duration: 20 weeks Travel: None Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Registered/Certified Behavior Technician to support the delivery of educational and behavioral services for children and adults with special needs. In this role, you will work collaboratively with school professionals, behavior analysts, and interdisciplinary teams to help individuals meet their behavioral and learning goals. The Behavior Technician will assist in implementing evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to support skill development and positive behavior change. Key Responsibilities + Implement ABA-based interventions as directed by supervising behavior specialists. + Support students or clients in achieving individualized behavioral and educational goals. + Record, track, and report data on client behavior and progress. + Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other team members to ensure consistent support. + Assist in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment. + Follow all ethical, clinical, and professional standards of practice. Minimum Requirements + Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and/or State Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) license (as required per state/contract) + High school diploma or equivalent + Must be at least 18 years old + Ability to meet all federal, state, and local compliance requirements + Current CPR certification (if required by contract or state) + Completed TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest X-ray (if applicable) + Current Health Certificate (as required by contract or state regulations) Preferred Qualifications + Two (2) years of relevant experience preferred + One (1) year of experience in behavioral support or related field preferred (may vary by contract) + Associate’s degree in behavioral studies, psychology, education, or related field + Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs Why Join Us? + Work directly with individuals making meaningful progress + Collaborate with experienced behavioral and educational professionals + Gain hands-on ABA experience in a supportive environment + Opportunity to positively impact students’ lives and outcomes Email resume to Amanda at amalmand@amergis.com or text 813-261-4384 to schedule a call!
