Registered Behavior Technician Needed for the Current School Year
Now Hiring: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for the 2025–2026 School Year! Location: Fayetteville, NC Schedule: Full-Time, 2025–2026 School Year Start Date: ASAP Amergis Educational Staffing is excited to partner with local schools in Fayetteville to bring on a compassionate and motivated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)! If you’re passionate about making a meaningful impact on students with unique learning and behavioral needs, this opportunity is for you. Position Overview As an RBT/CBT, you will play an essential role in supporting students through the implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies in a school setting. Working closely under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you’ll help students build important skills, increase positive behaviors, and make progress toward educational and developmental goals. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to directly influence student success in an encouraging and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities + Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) under BCBA supervision. + Provide supportive 1:1 or small-group behavior and skill-building sessions. + Collect and track student behavioral and skill-acquisition data. + Assist in Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and other evaluations. + Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student progress. + Participate in team meetings and required professional development. + Maintain confidentiality and follow ethical and professional standards. + Help foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. Minimum Requirements + Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and/or State CBT license (as applicable). + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Associate’s degree in behavioral studies or related field preferred. + At least one (1) year of relevant experience preferred; two (2) years preferred for more complex cases. + Current CPR certification (if applicable). Certification Notes: + RBTs complete a 40-hour training program, pass a competency assessment, and pass the RBT exam. + Certification renewal required every two years. + Ongoing BCBA supervision provided at least twice per month.
