Shaw’s Residential Sales Division is hiring a sales leader to serve as Regional Vice President (Retail Flooring Sales) for the Pittsburgh, PA and surrounding market. This role will lead a high-performing region and team of Territory Sales Managers. The successful candidate will be a coach, developer, and strategist who can elevate a seasoned team, introduce fresh thinking, and drive measurable growth across Shaw’s entire retail portfolio (hard and soft surface products). This leader will balance entrepreneurial business management with hands-on coaching and deep relationship-building with accounts across a diverse customer base of specialty retail flooring dealer accounts.
Responsibilities:
Deliver Regional Growth: Own sales performance for the territory, leveraging analytics, pricing/margin insights, and account-level reporting to expand share and profitability.
Lead & Develop a sales Team: Inspire, coach, and hold accountable Territory Managers.
Elevate Customer Partnerships: Build deep, credible relationships with independent retailers and larger accounts, positioning Shaw’s full portfolio as differentiated solutions.
Drive Data-Driven Sales Excellence: Champion adoption of sales enablement tools and analytics, ensuring visibility to mix, margin, and account performance at both the TM and RVP levels.
Recruit & Retain Talent: Attract, hire, and grow high-performing Territory Managers who can strengthen Shaw’s retail presence in the market.
Execute Corporate Initiatives Locally: Translate product launches, promotional rollouts, and national programs into market-ready execution that drives measurable results.
Operate Like an Entrepreneur: Manage the region with an “owner’s mindset,” applying strong financial acumen and accountability.
Innovate: Bring fresh, outside-the-box thinking to sales leadership and customer engagement, helping to evolve how Shaw positions flooring as a design-driven product.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED and 4 years of sales experience or other equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be based in (or willing to relocate to) the the region.
Highly preferred experience:
Proven sales leadership experience (5+ years) with direct people management responsibility, ideally in flooring, interiors, or adjacent home design/building materials industries (e.g., cabinets, appliances, paint, surfaces, sundries).
Strong business and financial acumen, including exposure to P&L and margin management.
Undergraduate degree.
Track record of coaching high-performing, seasoned sales professionals—balancing accountability with relational leadership.
Demonstrated ability to build credibility with independent retail owners as well as larger commercial accounts.
