Regional Technical Learning Partner - retail automotive repair  

Remote - must be based in Las Vegas or Phoenix area

Travel 40%

$80-95K Base plus 10% Bonus

Reports to: Technical Learning Manager, L&D 

Background Required:

10 years of experience in the automotive repair field3+ years of prior facilitation and delivery experience in a classroom settingPrefer ASE Master Automobile Technician status including current A1 – A8

General Summary: 

 

The SunPRO Technical Learning Partner will assume the lead role for the implementation of back and front shop educational programs for Sun University. This position works closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create and maintain effective learning solutions designed to improve individual and organizational performance, quality standards, and incorporate interactive materials for a variety of delivery systems. This person will work on the design of instructional materials and liaison with all departments to implement learning Solutions/opportunities. The SunPRO Technical Learning Partner will also facilitate live workshops including back shop, front shop, peer and need-specific learning, including technical pilots and new programming. 

 

Responsibilities: 

 Leads or participates in testing and maintenance of learning solutions  Ensures all contents areas are technically accurate and achieve training purpose  Reviews all assigned training materials and designs program improvements on a continuous basisRecognizes performance improvement opportunities and gaps and clearly identifies and articulates options and tools available to help drive desired behavior  Directs structured learning experiences  Plans, organizes, and implements a range of training activities  Monitors and reports the effectiveness of training on employees  Present information, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos and lectures  Works closely with Field Management to determine needs and class schedules Travel - 40% Currently covers approximately 40 stores from Death Valley through Las Vegas down Tucson and east to New Mexico - Las Cruces, Alamogordo and El Paso

 

Experience: 

Prefers ASE Master Automobile Technician status including current A1 – A8 certifications Requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in the automotive repair field 3 years or more of prior classroom facilitation and delivery experience Able to work with designers to develop instructional materials including training manuals, teaching aids, self-paced study and performance evaluation tools Conducts research for Standard Operating Procedures, needs assessments and provides written complete detailed recommendations to SunPRO Technical Learning Manager Working knowledge of adult learning styles, theories, and methods Knowledge of learner-centered activities PLEASE NOTE: finalists will be asked to provide a video sample of classroom training delivery
