Summary: The Regional Systems Support Specialist provides the tools and automation to store, organize, and manipulate data while making that data easily retrievable. Various hardware and software tools and support combine to enable these functions in a cost-effective method that helps increase efficiency and accuracy.
The Regional System Support Specialist installs, maintains, and supports all OT/IT-related hardware and software and may also recommend solutions for specific locations or across all locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide functional and technical support to BlueScope Recycling associatesProvide clear and cordial communication to internal and external customersManage assets, uptime, and performance of networks, machines, and systems as assignedEnsure that standard company hardware and software are being maintained and in working condition as requiredEnsure that all requests are recorded and completed to customer satisfactionDocument resolutions to requests for future referenceRecognize and report developing trends in the support process and technologiesProvide network support to BRM employees by partnering with BlueScope Unified IT Services, other BlueScope business units, and vendorsSet the initial priority of requests ticketing system and assign appropriate resourcesLoad and maintain authorized software onto PCsPlace requisitions for new hardware and software once approved Coordinate tasks with team members and give feedback about assigned tasksParticipate in and make recommendations during team meetings Collaborate with peers to understand and support new technologies deployed within BRMTravel required up to 15%Participating with the on call week and weekend rotationRequired Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent5-7 years of relevant work experience including desktop support, network administration, and computer hardware support.Networking, PC and server management systems experience (virtual servers a plus).Experience deploying and supporting O365.Experience in supporting multiple locations, users, computers and serversExperience with AD support and configurationPreferred Qualifications:
