Regional Supply Chain Manager Ethos Veterinary Health


Job Summary

The Regional Supply Chain Manager will provide strategic oversight of regional on-site inventory management personnel and business processes to improve effectiveness at all facilities within their assigned region. The position oversees the development, implementation, and advancement of supply strategies to ensure proper delivery of goods and services, regulatory compliance, and best practices implementation. 


The Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement of all office supplies, medical supplies, pharma, and small equipment across their assigned region and budget. This position will require strong communication and relationship development skills with business stakeholders at various levels of the organization.


Responsibilities

Supply Chain and Inventory management: Development of Best Practices and standardization across region. Potential travel to hospitals to mentor and develop personell as needed.Team development and management: mentoring hospital Inventory manager developmentPartner with Procurement and stakeholders to help drive messaging and implement initiatives to hospitalsDrive standardization around inventory count process and review inventory count data submitted by Ethos hospitalsPerformance reporting and continuous improvement

Qualifications

4+ years of relevant experience, in inventory management/supply chainBachelors degree preferredCVT/LVT or clinical experience preferred but not necessaryCPSM preferredSix sigma green belt preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Supply Chain Management Knowledge:

Understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.Knowledge of supply chain best practices, including demand forecasting, inventory control, order fulfillment, and vendor management.Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance protocols related to the healthcare supply chain.

Procurement and Vendor Management:

Experience managing relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery, quality control, and cost efficiency.Ability to evaluate and manage vendor performance and support supplier conversion strategies.

Risk Management:

Ability to identify potential risks within the supply chain, such as supply disruptions, vendor performance issues, and financial constraints.Experience in developing risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply and minimize disruptions.

Inventory Management:

Expertise in inventory management systems and strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce waste or overstocking.Knowledge of inventory control techniques, including just-in-time (JIT) inventory, stock replenishment, and inventory turnover.Supports local hospital inventory management teams for all audits including cycle counting and physical inventory.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Strong analytical skills to assess supply chain performance, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.Ability to prepare and present clear, concise reports to hospital & Procurement leadership, with insights and recommendations for operational improvements.Leadership and Team Management:
Ability to influence hospital and inventory manager on best practices without direct oversight. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Logistics, Clinical departments, and senior management.

ERP and Supply Chain Software Proficiency:

Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Oracle) or other supply chain management software.Familiarity with data management, automation tools, and software used in procurement, inventory, and logistics functions.

Financial Acumen:

Understanding budget management, cost control, and cost-saving initiatives within the supply chain function.Ability to make financially sound recommendations that balance cost efficiency with service delivery and quality.

Veterinary Healthcare Industry Knowledge:

Familiarity with veterinary healthcare-specific supply chain requirements, including compliance with regulations, patient safety, and critical supply needs.Understanding of the unique challenges of managing the supply chain within a hospital or healthcare setting.

Communication and Negotiation Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and hospital leadership.Ability to build and foster positive relationships at all levels and functions across the organization.

Change Management:

Ability to lead and manage change initiatives at the regional level, including supplier conversion activities and the adoption of new technologies or processes.Experience with continuous improvement within the supply chain function and ensuring the team is adaptable to new challenges.

Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:

Strong problem-solving skills to address complex supply chain issues as they arise and find solutions that minimize disruption.Ability to prioritize and make decisions under pressure while maintaining focus on operational goals.Competence to effectively use independent judgement and manage multiple tasks and priorities. Ability to provide guidance for regional & on-site inventory managers in their problem solving & decision making abilities


The base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000-$100,000. Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
