What You Will Be Doing:The Regional Service Specialist for the CAT Rental Store will focus on mentoring and coaching Branch Managers, Service Managers and Counter Personnel to improve the customer experience and operational effectiveness of the assigned branches.
Primary Responsibilities: Support Branches with proper rental fleet asset management Inventory Control – We don’t want to lose any piece of equipment or repair part Down Equipment Flow – Coach managers to have a plan on each piece and identifying the most cost effective options for repair balanced against the time to put back in service Coach counter personnel on the use of RentalMan – Be the expert that keeps us out of the ditch on counter processes which support the customer experience and operational flow through reduced mistakes Mentor dispatchers on best use of in house trucking – provide coaching on prioritizing deliveries and pickups using Yancey owned trucks and optimizing any use of an outside hauler Ensure proper safety procedures are being followed in shops and trucks – lead the safety culture so we send everyone home every day the way they arrived Hold stores accountable for parts and merchandise inventory – Parts get on work orders, no year-end surprises on writeoffs and merchandise is accounted for through counter operations Develop and launch new processes to support better operations – Make us better by thinking of new ways or reinforcement of optimized processes and ensuring we follow those at the store level Additional Responsibilities: Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner. Additional duties as assigned by manager. Who We Are Looking For:To be successful in this position you should have a desire to lead, coach and mentor. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to take direction and work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.
Education/Experience: 3-5 years rental equipment industry experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Required Qualifications/Skills: Knowledge of work planning and scheduling and other supervisory activities Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and safety requirements Planning and Management Inventory management Process Improvement PC proficiency Strong customer service skills Valid driver’s license Positive attitude Team player Preferred Qualifications/Skills: Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university with related equivalent experience Prior Rental Equipment Operations experience desired Values:At Yancey Rents, we are always looking to add people to our team who share our core values:
