Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Promote the strategy of the department to the field service technicians (FST’s) and throughout the Mettler organizationProvide a World Class customer experience and own the customer relationships within your regionSupervise the FST’s in your region. Address employees concerns and/or performance concerns in real time. Maintain proper documentation as neededTraining and development of FST’s within the region. Get all FST’s to expert levelManagement of the financial performance of the regionHandle escalation of customer issues with a sense of urgency—ability to keep up with emails, voicemails, meetingsKeep employees motivated and performing at a high levelFocus on process improvement and continuous improvementTravel into the region (Gemba) at least 1 week a month and as needed by customer escalations to work with FST’s and to visit customersRun tier calls during the week to track and plan for ongoing issues and upcoming visitsStay current with developments within the PI product line: Technical bulletins, new product developments, failure trends and pass on to the fieldManage FST staffing within your regionTimely turnaround of approval requests: Time sheets, expense reports, time-off requests, service admin or accounting requestsConduct performance reviews for technicians in your region by the established deadlineManage special projects as assigned by the National Service ManagerIdentify and maintain a professional working relationship with Service Sales and Product Sales Team within your regionWhat You Need to SucceedRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to handle a hectic, fast pace, ever-changing work environment, while maintaining a professional attitudeMust be organized, efficient and detail orientedInnovative and effective problem-solverExceptional communication skills and presentation skills (written and verbal), as well as excellent interpersonal skills to foster interaction within all levels of the organization and our customersAbility to handle multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlinesWorks well alone or as part of a teamIn addition to our core values all employees must follow the Code of ConductSupport and conform to 5S objectivesExperience with computerized office systems and software (i.e., Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel)Other duties as assigned
