Position Summary:
The Commercial Finance Analyst acts as a finance business partner across the commercial function, leading on finance support, identifying improvement options and recommendations as well as challenging the business dynamics where appropriate. This role is pivotal in driving improved financial insights across the APJ commercial team thus enabling better business decisions and ultimately improving revenue and margin expansion. The role will act as a Finance Business Partner for Clinical Diagnostics Division (CDD) as well as act as a regional consolidation for the Speciality Diagnostic Group (SDG)
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Forecasting (SDG + CDD)
Build the annual revenue, bookings and operating expense Annual Operating Plan (AOP) alongside the commercial teams ensuring accountability is appropriately assigned and all parties are engagedSupport the five-year strategic planning (STRAP) process for CDD and SDGSDG APJ Financial consolidation and be the point of contact for countries and the GroupForecasting – Owns the forecasting process, ensuring accountability and accuracy, including defined risks and opportunitiesSupport the weekly revenue Pulse check and review cadences, providing the leaders with meaningful insightsWork on other ad hoc tasks as required like deal margin analysis etcBusiness Partnering & Analysis (CDD)
Develop strong business partner relationships resulting in improved insights and resultsProactive and timely communication of insightful commercial performance information on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to drive successful achievement of the monthly and quarterly target expectations.Provides robust insights into variances through volume, price, product mix and product margin analysis, translate findings and drive practical solutions.Collaborate with teams on new business tenders & pricing quotes, and existing business re-quotes, using business experience to question the approach & make proposals to ensure optimum pricing & margins to align with the strategic goalsDrive improved commercial process controls, especially pricing.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Professional accounting qualification and /or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration5-7 years' experience in business/commercial financeStrong communication skillsStrong analytical skills, ability to present business proposals concisely to senior audiences.Experience with workking in matrixed organization and geographically dispersed teamsEstablishes and maintains successful customer relationships (internal and/or external)Take ownership of results
