Regional Sector Head, New Energy
Job Purpose To strategize and develop the assigned DGF Sector by working together with global and countries; and drive the commercial growth agenda of the said sector in DHL Global Forwarding Asia Pacific. Ensure that the sector initiatives are clearly aligned with the community and key stakeholders. If the case requires it, this role also works across sectors within DGF or across Business Units.
Key Responsibilities
Sector Strategy & development - Asia Pacific -To fully understand sector market development, and the implications to DHL Group - To deploy and drive sector strategy/initiatives within this region; and in alignment with global and countries - To facilitate and drive country sector growth plan - To interface with other Business Units, align the strategy and facilitate the collaboration to drive sector growth
Business Development - To develop and grow the portfolio of sector target customers, and penetrate strategic relationships with customers - To manage and drive performance of our sector business - To drive and manage the profitable growth for this sector, in alignment with our organization's growth strategy - To directly involve or take ownership in responding to customers’ RFI, RFQ and Tenders - To proactively drive sector business development by enabling solution & business fit with customers
Strategic Engagement and Initiatives - To identify customers within the region for strategic engagement by working together with the sector community - To enable the sector community to strategize and penetrate new relationships (e.g. C-level) with targeted customers - To drive/support strategic customer dialogues to identify customer's business objectives, supply chain requirements & challenges - To support & drive strategic initiatives in this region to enable sector development - To actively identify potential business partners to collaborate with to enhance our value proposition to Customers
Internal Stakeholdership Management - To guide RCDs on the internal network to enable design and present solutions to targeted customers by demonstrating clear business & solution fit - To work with internal stakeholders (e.g. Products-AFR/OFR, OMS, Customs, IP, ITR etc) to develop the solution sets and their commercialization to meet both the customer & company needs - To act as escalation point for issue resolution
Experience/Qualification Requirements •\tDegree Holder, relevant post-graduate qualifications will be an advantage •\tMinimum 10+ years experience in sales or business development in logistics or freight forwarding industry •\tPrior experience in DHL or equivalent logistics experience, with a strong understanding of DHL products and services. •\tKnowledge and experience about sector development •\tPeople-management experience is an advantage •\tConsultative-selling experience will be a plus
