Regional Sales Trainer (100% Virtual Remote)

The Regional Sales Trainer will support high-demand markets with significant hiring volumes. This role will be responsible for delivering tailored developmental plans targeting sales training, coaching, and performance support for new and existing sales associates (including sales managers) in regions experiencing rapid growth. Will work closely with local leadership to assess training needs, develop customized content, and ensure teams are equipped with the tools and skills to drive results. This position requires frequent travel in assigned, providing innovative and customized strategic plans and development aimed at fostering a high-performance culture across the sales network.

This position has been segmented as Remote Anywhere meaning the work is completed 100% remote anywhere in the U.S. except Hawaii or United States Territories.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with Region, Area and Sales-Leadership stakeholders to identify training and development needs for niche populations, design and execute strategic development plans on new and existing staff to fulfill developmental objectives.

Engage with Target Markets for DSM/Seller skills development

Conduct Skill Gap Analysis on specific areas and populations within assigned market – identify opportunities for improvement and implement those initiatives. The Region Sales trainer will leverage detail analysis to not only identify opportunities, but measure success of developmental programs against KPIs

Collaborate with sales leadership in building a sustainable plan for continuous growth and skill development

Leverage SME, change management and coaching skills to influence and lead stakeholders affected by a new initiative or receiving training – provide tailored coaching and consultation to impact change and adaptation

Assess and communicate progress updates and key learnings on a weekly basis to gain alignment and commitments

Supervision:

N/A for direct reports

Will have indirect responsibility over sales associates in the markets they are deployed to

Relationships:

Internal: EVP Field Operations, SVP Field Operations, VP Sales Excellence, RP, AP, RVPLS/VPLS, RSM/DSM, TM, Finance, Area HR, Functional HR, Recruiting, Talent Management, L&D

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess a minimum of 7 years' experience in sales, L&D, or other relevant area and/or high-performance sales background

Sales/Sales Leadership or high-performance sales background required

Must possess refined communication skills to effectively partner with ELT and SLT levels on a regular basis

Microsoft Office – Intermediate level of proficiency required

Demonstrated Ability to articulate and execute US Foods selling skills, coaching and performance processes

Must possess sound business acumen and tribal knowledge specific to the company, industry and critical areas such as New, Lost, Pen, Territory Manager Compensation, effective selling skills and key technology areas

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must demonstrate strong leadership behaviors with a keen ability to influence others, at all levels of the organization. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of implementing and problem solving through high impact initiatives across a large organization.

Must demonstrate an effective project management skill set inclusive of outstanding written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively deliver high level presentations

Travel Requirements: Up to 90% travel

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or other relevant areas is required or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Must have an intermediate understanding of business and sales acumen and be able to apply those successfully daily.

Change Management background and/or skill set is a plus

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds).  The expected base rate for this role is between

$85,000 - $140,000
