As a Regional Sales Manager (RSM), you take pride in representing Baxter and our products. The RSM is responsible for providing overall sales leadership of Specialty Account Executives to drive profitable revenue and market share growth in assigned geographical regions/territories, across the product segment. RSM will develop and implement area specific strategic and tactical plans, establish, and supervise attainment of targets, proactively address market and competitor activities, and assist in deals on key strategic accounts including IDN & Enterprise Account relationships within respective geographies.
What you'll be doingProvide proactive direct support to Account Executives through all stages of a deal, e.g. in customer meetings, demonstrations, RFPs, cross-references, and preparation of offers.Develop and communicate quarterly and annual sales strategies and plans for assigned area to accomplish profitable revenue growth, customer satisfaction and alignment to market trends.Define individual and market specific sales goals to meet overall region goals.Track/report overall progress of sales team against targets through weekly, quarterly and annual sales plans.Support action plans to address key needs, as well as facilitate demand fulfillment, demand creation activities (driving the replacement cycle of installed base) and the development and implementation of service programs that protect and defend the installed base.Effectively present portfolio and services that clearly articulates the value proposition for the customer.Continually meet with customers to develop a trusting and credible relationship, demonstrating knowledge of their needs, and proactively addressing potential issues. Build and maintain relationships with major hospital systems, IDN’s.Develop, train, and implement pricing guidance and authority on strategy and deal structuring, etc.Weekly implementation and monitoring of project tracking/forecasting via SalesForceUse sales competencies to develop employees in achieving successful proficiency levels for performanceTravel with and shadow sellers for ongoing success and developmentIdentify performance improvement targets, track and measure changes for the overall improvement of the region.What you'll bringExtensive knowledge of both Capital and Clinical sales processProven success from initial planning to structuring and closing sales dealsHistory of leadership with the ability to successfully empower and inspire employeesProven track record of delivering high-quality presentations that resonate with audiences and achieve resultsOutstanding ability to influence and persuade others, with a high level of effectiveness in negotiations and conflict resolution.Demonstrated ability to complete strong strategy plansStrong interpersonal, decision making and creative problem-solving skillsExperience balancing multiple priorities, working independently, showing initiative, and leading with a clear perspective.Skilled in navigating cross-functional teams and projects, overseeing sales activity, developing sales plans, understanding local market and competitive trends.Strong skills within the MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word), Proficient in SalesforceMust have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to operate a vehicleAbility to travel throughout the United States 80% of the time (may include weekends)Bachelor’s degree required; Masters or equivalent experience preferred7 years sales (experience in the Acute Care/Hospital capital equipment space preferred)Previous experience leading a team preferredWe understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated pay range for this position is $156,800 to $200,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less within the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position is also eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.
