about this team
Reporting directly to the Manager of Merchandise Planning, this position is responsible for category salestargets, markdowns, gross margin, turn and open to buy management, for both pre-season plans and inseason management.Teamwork and clear communication are essential. You are an essential part of the cross functional teamcollaborating with merchandising, allocations and sourcing. You have razor sharp attention to detail butalso able to think big picture.
core responsibilities
Develop, communicate and execute financial plans and strategies that support the merchandising, marketing and financial objectives of the brandDevelop assortment plans to the style-colour level by channelDevelop sales projections and inventory flow for key itemsDrive financial results that maximize sales, inventory and bottom line profitabilityPrepare and participate in Merchandise Review meetingsReconcile tops down category financial plans to bottoms up style-colour level plansSupport the financial success of the brand by meeting sales, comp, gross margin, maintained margin and inventory turn goalsRecommend seasonal merchandise flow strategies that maximize sales, profitability and customer expectationsAnalyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities to business and recommend strategies to achieve financial goals; conduct hindsight analysis to incorporate learnings into current and future plansProvide support to Merchandising to actively manage product assortment throughout the season(inventory, MDs, etc.)Exhibit initiative to look beyond the everyday business to look for opportunities to maximize sales potentialPartner and communicate with Merchandising, Allocation and SourcingProvide other analysis related to driving business goals (e.g. hindsights, etc.)
qualifications
College certificate or University degree is required 3-5 years merchandise planning experience in the apparel industry for a vertical retailerPrevious experience with merchandise and planning systemsExpert knowledge of Excel is requiredExcellent team player as well as the ability to work independentlyEffective communication skills (written & verbal)• Extremely organized, thorough and able to prioritizeDetail orientatedStrong ability to see the merchandise vision and translate the vision into viable plans.Results oriented - strong sense of motivationSelf directed problem solver, proactive and resourcefulResponsible, dependable and mature, with sound judgmentCapable of effective multiple demand management from a variety of sources and adapts well to changeAbility and willingness to accept and provide feedback

compensation and benefits package
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $96,800-$127,100 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
