Regional Market Access and Payer Evidence Lead
**PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:** + The Regional Market Access & Payer Evidence Lead works closely with country affiliates to align cross-functionally to manage, support, and drive local market access strategies in line with APAC Market Access strategic imperatives and objectives that brings value to the countries. + The key focus areas include localizing market access and pricing strategy, defend value, tender management, understanding and tracking local healthcare system developments and identifying new opportunities for access for Abbotts EPD’ products in the established portfolio and upcoming biosimilar pipeline across Region APAC. + Communicate the perspective of the payers internally and engages according to the relevant direct or indirect channel payers to promote product value throughout lifecycle management + Support and drive key initiatives for capability building, sharing of best practices and drive the market access agenda forward amongst peers in the Region. **MARKET ACCESS STRATEGY:** + Develop pricing and access strategy for all products throughout life cycle management not limited to tender, reimbursement, stakeholder engagement and expansion of access opportunities. + Develops and deploys tailored payer communication materials, anticipating payer interests/concerns and creating multiple possible solutions. + Supports development of value creation strategies and plans for customers and stakeholders that go beyond the clinical evidence (e.g., Patient Support Programs), to ensure, optimize and sustain access and product uptake. + Support and guide affiliate in successful listings and tender shaping + Understands how evidence is used in decision making and how it impacts various payers & their stakeholders (e.g., providers, patients, health systems). **STRATEGIC PRICING & CONTRACT STRATEGY:** + Develop and implement innovative pricing models for existing and new pipeline products to ensure optimum patient access to Abbotts EPDs products. + Understands compliance considerations and risks of pricing practices (competitive law, antibribery regulations) and flags pricing practices which conflict with compliance requirements (competitive law, anti- bribery regulations). + Knows innovative pricing models and managed entry schemes (e.g., risk identification, mitigation planning and performance management of schemes). + Pricing and tender management **Detailed responsibilities will include:** + Has a deep understanding of how political, economic, social, and legal contexts determine on how health systems operate and are influenced. + Acquires knowledge of the pricing, reimbursement, funding, and procurement mechanics of the local health care system(s) (processes, evidence needs and guiding regulatory requirements etc.) + Understands how local health system(s) fit into wider market archetypes (on global, regional, and national levels) based on underlying system principles (i.e., type and nature of payer; sources of funding; approach to health technology appraisal). + Identifies opportunities to shape the system to improve pricing, reimbursement, and access, and create health system improvements enabled by our value and portfolio offerings. + Implement new tools and initiatives such as Capability building activities for pricing and Value communications. + Deliver payer insights that drive competitive advantage and defend the value of the portfolio (generic and oncology experience would be an asset). + Supports assessments of potential portfolio expansion molecules from a Market Access perspective + Define payer evidence requirements to support lifecycle management value propositions **QUALIFICATIONS** + 6-10 years in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, ideally in Market Access, Pricing and Payer Evidence, Value Comms. + 3-4 years’ experience in a country as a market access leader + Strategic experience in managing product pricing, tendering and Launch experience + Strategic thinking, planning and agility skills + Proven leadership ability, leading without authority + Advanced analytical skills + Must be proficient in verbal and written communication. + Multiple languages and cross cultural, and cross-divisional experience is beneficial + Must be driven, a leader and possess strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
