**SUMMARY** The Regional Manager (RM) is responsible for effective and efficient operation of all the test centers in the assigned region, through remote and in-person management. The Regional Manager provides tactical, operational and financial leadership to the test centers to ensure consistent, high quality, and secure test delivery. **CORE COMPETENCIES** + Act Strategically + Build Realistic Plans + Develop Others + Establish Relationships + Establish Trust + Make Sound Decisions + Show Adaptability **SCOPE AND IMPACT OF JOB** The Regional Test Center Manager leads their assigned region in the implementation and execution of business strategy for test delivery. Develops staff to ensure all aspects of the operational policies and procedures are adhered to. **REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE** **_Education and Experience:_** + Bachelor degree or equivalent business experience, strongly preferred + 5+ years of management experience preferred + Remote management experience strongly preferred + 3+ years experience in providing customer service/support preferred + Experience in high stakes testing environment preferred **_Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:_** + Manage remotely + Project management skills + Training and mentoring skills + Relationship management capability + Visionary leadership + Operational planning and execution + Budget control and finance management skills + Strong personnel management and team building skills + Utilize scheduling software to continuously coordinate and update site schedules + Customer Focus + Excellent written and oral communication skills + Decision making and problem solving skills + Ethics and integrity + Experience with Microsoft Office, Windows applications, and Internet **_Other (license/certification):_** + Obtain required certifications for Test Administrator, recertify annually + Participate in required employee trainings: Data Protection and Privacy for Pearson VUE; Preventing Sexual Harassment; and Pearson Code of Business Conduct **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIE** 1. **_20 % Leadership_** + Recruit, interview and hire test center staff, including managers + Coach and develop Test Center Managers and test center staff + Coordinate training and recertification of test center staff + Conduct annual performance appraisals + Review performance assessments of all regional staffs + Identify and develop high potential employees for career development **_2. 15% Security_** + Maintain confidentiality of all candidate and proprietary Pearson VUE information + Ensure the adherence of all Pearson VUE quality and security measures + Ensure and adhere to Security Best Practices **_3. 15% Customer Focus / Relationship Management_** + Display professional and friendly demeanor at all times + Listen and address questions and concerns in appropriate manner + Maintain relationships with clients, partners, colleagues, vendors and staff + Coordinate and adhere to site visit schedule + Assist in business development **_4. 15% Financial Management_** + Approve and monitor supply inventory orders + Develop and manage annual budget; recommend quarterly adjustments + Analyze monthly financial reports and provide feedback to variances + Ensure timecards are accurate, complete audits and approve payroll + Timely entry and approval of expenses **_5. 15% Operational/Administration_** + Ensure compliance with all exam procedures contained in the test center guides + Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of Pearson VUE policies, procedures and guidelines + Ensure pleasant, clean, professional testing environments and facilities + Coordinate, explain and develop distribution and review of new policies and procedures information to test center staff + Monitor and report all problems and/or discrepancies, and respond to and resolve these situations in a timely and efficient manner, including incident reports + Develop, review and approve annual salary plan for region + Ensure center schedule coverage and compliance in accordance with Open Doors on Time (ODOT) + As applicable, ensure all documentation, checks and other paperwork is reconciled per client requirements + Manage all local aspects of real estate **_6. 10% Communication_** + Proactive communication with manager and direct reports + Develop and maintain professional relationships with all internal and external contacts + Accurately and promptly communicate candidate and facility situations or concerns according to prescribed policies and procedures + Ensure understanding and compliance of current policies, procedures and guidelines + Adhere to Pearson email, telephone and cell phone etiquette + Build & maintain relationship with local property management **_7. 5% Computer/Technical_** + Communicate and work with technical support to investigate and assist in fixing technical issues + Develop and maintain a working knowledge of hardware and software + Ensure update installations are completed **_8. 5% Other duties as assigned_** **WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS** + Physical requirements: Reside in assigned region strongly preferred + Travel requirements: Up to 50% travel + Other: Work in home office environment **Who we are:** At Pearson, our purpose is simple: to help people realize the life they imagine through learning.
