Position Purpose: The Regional Manager has the overall responsibility for the revenue and profitability growth of the Branch(s). The Regional Manager will/may supervise operational staff, day-to-day operations, inside/outside sales activities, and C-SUITE client relationships.
Position Overview:
The Regional Manager prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual projections with internal staff/RFA and the executive management group. The Regional Manager performs business development activities as needed to achieve the plan (varies based on the maturity of the branch and base of business.
Develops and maintains a high level of name awareness through public relations activities, recruiting, and client development.
Manages all financial aspects of the market operations to ensure that monthly, quarterly, and annual budget goals are met.
Responsible for the development of major accounts, mix of business, and controlling branch(s) expenses (direct and non-direct cost of sales).
Assures that the operation is properly staffed and developed, whether the sales or operations staff report directly or indirectly to the Regional Manager.
Responsible for ensuring cooperation and support with other locations, divisions, and corporate offices.
Provides guidance and support in developing action plans to address areas requiring improvement and ensure compliance with all company and client SOP’s and SOW.
Interact with client management and maintain effective client and customer relations at all levels within the organization
Manages the operation's activities to ensure that the company’s operational systems are in place, that each member has had adequate training, and that the systems and processes established are in compliance.
Position Responsibilities:
The Regional Manager will oversee revenue growth in the market(s) through direct and indirect sales activities to achieve new contract sales.
Lead and manage a highly productive, motivated, and driven team through strong communication, empowerment, reward, and coaching techniques. Maintain close working relationships with partner groups in functional areas, including Sales, Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Compliance.
Meets and exceeds all financial goals for the operation and meets and exceeds branch(s) operating goals such as client retention, business mix, etc
Provide guidance and motivation to Branch Managers and other area operational staff and support staff.
Establish and maintain effective client and customer rapport with a mutually beneficial business relationship.
Identify and engage top talent and develop team members to their fullest potential within the organization.
Conducts annual performance reviews for all direct reports.
Represents The Budd Group in the community through involvement in civic organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, builder associations, etc.
Leverage relationships to support new and existing business growth
Develops and implements an ongoing client service and retention plan.
Ensure that operations are properly staffed and are in compliance with The Budd Group's operating practices as well as best operational practices.
Position Qualifications/Skills:
Required:
Bachelor's degree required
Seven to ten years of full-time business management experience supervising 1st and 2nd level managers.
Proven leadership and experience with managing effective C-suite client relationships.
Proven track record demonstrated by growth in terms of increased job responsibilities.
Demonstrated leadership skills with a broad knowledge of management practices and good business analysis/project management skills.
Expert knowledge of P&L management, including revenue oversight and SG&A oversight.
Demonstrated ability to grasp a large, complex, matrix-oriented global business at a base level and use this understanding to set overall strategy and drive business process improvement.
Demonstrated business savvy to effectively communicate and work with other executives in support of achieving business and systems goals.
Strong business planning skills to execute strategic projects with implications for business areas with rapidly evolving business processes. Must possess a balanced perspective on strategic and tactical issues.
Proven ability to manage numerous projects, as well as resources, remotely in a highly dispersed organization.
Proven ability to select top talent and create a productive environment that promotes initiative, innovation, continual learning, and development of key personnel for future advancement.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with a wide range of audiences including clients, front-line managers, and C-level leaders
Thorough knowledge of the business-to-business service industry and components of delivery sales and service in a “commodity” type environment.
A valid driver’s license is required.
