Regional Legal Compliance Manager

A leader in Shipping and Logistics company is currently expanding and looking for highly qualified candidates for the Regional Legal Compliance Manager position based in Singapore.
Job Responsibilities: Develop and maintain compliance policies, standards, and procedures aligned with current laws and best practices. Oversee policy reviews, updates, and approvals in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Lead compliance training and communications across internal teams and third-party partners. Monitor regulatory developments across jurisdictions and recommend appropriate updates. Establish and uphold a governance structure to ensure consistent policy enforcement. Manage internal investigations on potential breaches of law, policy, or ethics—overseeing fact-finding, documentation, and confidentiality. Propose and track corrective actions post-investigation. Design and implement compliance assessment and monitoring programs. Work closely with audit, risk, and operations teams to strengthen internal controls and compliance frameworks. Prepare reports on compliance trends and risks for leadership review.
Requirements: Degree in Law, Business, or related discipline. At least 8 years of experience in compliance, governance, regulatory affairs, or internal audit. Experience leading compliance functions or initiatives in a multinational or cross-functional environment. Strong knowledge of global compliance frameworks, risk assessment, and investigation procedures. Excellent drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal communication and stakeholder engagement ability.
