Location: Multi-site (Assigned region across multiple practices in the Colorado Springs, Denver, and Northern Colorado markets)
Classification: Full-Time, Exempt

Position Summary

The Regional Hygiene Mentor plays a critical role in driving clinical excellence, operational consistency, and team development across assigned practices. This individual serves as a coach, mentor, and leader to hygiene teams, supporting them through on-site visits, performance reviews, and ongoing development conversations. This role is not a fill-in hygiene position, but rather a field-based leadership role that directly supports the organization's commitment to high-quality patient care and the professional growth of our hygiene teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesIn-Practice Support & CoachingProvide weekly site visits to assigned practices for real-time coaching, team support, and practice integration.Conduct spot coaching and schedule reviews to improve clinical efficiency, optimize patient care, and drive hygiene productivity.Perform regular record audits to ensure clinical accuracy, protocol adherence, and documentation quality.Conduct quarterly 1:1 development sessions with each RDH, including observation, chart audit, performance review, and personal action planning.Ensure new hire onboarding and mentorship for all RDHs, offering consistent early support to reinforce expectations and culture.Participate in interviewing processes as needed to assess clinical fit and mentor-readiness.Attend recruiting events alongside the hygiene recruitment team to represent the organization and attract top talent.Work 1 day/week clinically to stay connected to patient care and team needs—but not to be used as a substitute or fill-in RDH.

Team Meetings & Performance AlignmentLead a monthly hygiene team meeting at each assigned practice to:

Review performance metrics and KPIsShare updates or initiatives from leadershipCelebrate team and individual wins
Facilitate collaborative action planning for areas of opportunitySupport quarterly regional hygiene meetings, working closely with the Director of Hygiene on agenda development, logistics, and content delivery.Monthly Hygiene Operations meeting with the Director of Hygiene.
Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner weekly with Regional Managers and the Senior Director of Hygiene to identify and resolve hygiene-related challenges in each practice.Act as a liaison between hygiene teams and senior leadership to ensure transparency, consistency, and follow-through.Collaborate with Clinical Directors and the Director of Hygiene on coaching plans, training needs, and clinical priorities.

QualificationsActive Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in good standing.Minimum of 5 years of clinical hygiene experience; multi-site or mentoring experience strongly preferred.Demonstrated ability to lead and coach others in a respectful, engaging manner.Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.Organized, proactive, and skilled in setting priorities across multiple practices.Comfortable using data to coach performance and drive team alignment.Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region.Success MetricsConsistent hygiene performance across all assigned practices, measured by production, reappointment, and quality of care.High engagement and retention of hygienists, particularly new hires.Monthly meetings completed with documented outcomes and follow-up plans.RDHs feel supported and report improved confidence and skill growth.Collaboration with Regional Managers and DOH is consistent, productive, and aligned with broader organizational goals.

 

 

Compensation:

Salary + Annual Bonus based on set metrics- targeting 115K plus/yr

Qualifications An Active RDH License in good standingBS or AAS in Dental HygieneMinimum 5 years of clinical hygiene in a multi-site setting.
