Reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, this role is key in helping provide a first class Facilities Management service to the Trade Counter store portfolio. This is a field-based role, centred in the South East or North West, however we will consider other locations for strong candidates. You’ll carry out condition surveys, ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, support maintenance activities, and contribute to the delivery of our planned and project works.

Responsibilities Carry out regular audits to ensure works are delivered to expected deadlines and standardsInspect stores on a cyclical basis to maintain consistent standardsProvide support to the Facilities & Maintenance ManagerWork closely with the H&S/Risk teams when dealing with compliant issuesEnsure good liaison and communication with internal / external clients and stakeholdersLiaise closely with our Estates section to resolve landlord issuesProject manage larger repairs and project works through to completionManage relationships with the Store Development and Projects teams when handing over new projectsConsistently work to improve our processes and practicesOwn specific elements of the facilities process, including updating details, providing information and supporting others to carry out tasksProvide advice, guidance and support to the Helpdesk teamManage and evaluate maintenance quotations/reports from suppliers on building defectsMake recommendations for proactive works to reduce persistent reactive call outsBe prepared to travel extensively and be flexible to work the hours that the business requires Qualifications 3+ years in a similar FM or property surveying role, ideally in a retail or multi-site environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skillsFamiliar with statutory legislation and Health and Safety requirementsDemonstrable experience of working within a deadline driven environmentProficient in the use of Microsoft applications – Outlook/PowerPoint, Word & ExcelExcellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise workloadFacilities Management (IWFM 3, 4 or Similar) Building Surveying, H&S accreditations are desirable but not essential.
