Regional Facilities Manager UK&I

Position: Regional Facilities Manager – UK&I
Department: Facility Management
Location: London & Reading
Reports to: EMEA Regional Operations Lead

What this job involves:

The Regional Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, operations, and performance of multiple facility management accounts across the designated region. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective facility services while maintaining JLL's standards of excellence and driving client satisfaction across a diverse portfolio of properties.

The account is going into significant portfolio alterations which will require a leader who can influence positive change, have an attention to detail and coordinate multiple workstreams in a matrix environment.

What your day will look like:

Strategic Leadership & Client Management

Develop and execute regional facility management strategies aligned with JLL's objectives and client requirementsServe as primary point of contact for key regional clients, building strong relationships with senior stakeholdersLead contract negotiations, renewals, and expansion opportunities within the regionEnsure consistent service delivery standards across all managed facilities in the portfolio

Operational Excellence

Oversee day-to-day facility operations across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirementsImplement and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvementDevelop and execute preventive maintenance programs to optimize asset performance and lifecycleCoordinate emergency response procedures and business continuity planning across the region

Financial Management

Manage regional budget responsibility, including accurate forecasting, and cost control measuresIdentify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining service quality standardsIdentify CAPEX items for inclusion in asset replacement cycles.

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Facility Managers and technical staff across multiple locationsConduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and create professional development plansFoster a culture of safety, accountability, and service excellenceManage resource allocation and workforce planning to meet operational demands

Vendor & Contractor Management

Oversee procurement and management of third-party service providers across the regionElevate vendor performance, and ensure compliance with agreementsEstablish and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers and contractorsConduct regular vendor reviews and implement improvement initiatives

Technology & Innovation

Champion adoption of facility management technologies specifically Corrigo (JLL’s CMMS)Leverage data analytics to drive informed decision-making and predictive maintenance strategiesIdentify and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and client valueSupport digital transformation initiatives across the regional portfolio

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national regulations including environmental, health, and safety standardsConduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate operational risksMaintain comprehensive documentation and reporting systemsLead incident investigations and implement corrective action plans

Sustainability & ESG

Develop and implement sustainability initiatives aligned with client and JLL ESG goalsIdentify opportunities for environmental improvements and cost savingsSupport certification programs such as LEED, BREEAM, or WELL

Required Qualification & Experience

Education & Certifications

Professional certifications such as CFM (Certified Facility Manager), FMP (Facility Management Professional), or equivalent preferredHealth & Safety certifications relevant to the region

Experience

Minimum 8-10 years of progressive facility management experienceAt least 5 years in a regional or multi-site management roleProven track record of managing large-scale facility operations and diverse teamsExperience in client-facing roles with strong relationship management capabilitiesBackground in budget management and P&L responsibility

Skills & Compentencies

Strong leadership and people management capabilitiesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrategic thinking with ability to translate vision into operational executionFinancial acumen and analytical problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in facility management software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong understanding of building systems, maintenance practices, and industry regulationsProject management skills with ability to handle multiple prioritiesCultural awareness and ability to work effectively across diverse markets
