Job Description

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a strong background in facilities maintenance and procurement? CEDA is looking for a Facilities Coordinator to support our operations in the Fort McMurray region.

In this key role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of CEDA facilities in the Fort McMurray region. From coordinating vendor services and ensuring safety compliance, to managing budgets and maintaining grounds, this role is ideal for someone with a proactive attitude and excellent organizational skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include:

Facilities Maintenance

Coordinate and schedule annual compliance checks for emergency systems and equipment.Maintain accurate compliance records for all facilities in the region.Oversee maintenance and emergency repair calls, working with both internal teams and external vendors.Manage janitorial and maintenance supply purchases.Assist with minor repairs and maintenance as needed.Support seasonal tasks including lawn care, snow removal, and grounds maintenance using light machinery.Handle permit applications and maintain regulatory compliance with regional authorities.

Facilities Procurement

Requisition materials and services, following CEDA’s procurement policies.Manage receiving processes and maintain accurate documentation in SharePoint and other systems.Source and review quotes to ensure cost-effective procurement.Work with Supply Chain Management to maintain vendor compliance.Monitor third-party service costs, assist in month-end reviews, and provide reporting as required.

Role Specifications:

Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or relevant certification; equivalent experience may be considered.2–5 years of related experience in facilities coordination, maintenance, or procurement.Strong knowledge of procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite (AX Dynamics experience is an asset).Proven time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.Ability to analyze issues, solve problems, and make informed decisions quickly.Experience creating and managing reports and data tracking.
