Applicants must be within driving distance to our Atlanta, GA office to be considered for this role and have the ability to commute to the office three days per week.
A day in the life.
As an Regional Director of Client Service - Employee Health and Benefits, you will:
Supervisory:
Provides overall management of personnel-related activities for assigned staff within the department and supports Unit Leaders for second and third personnel reporting levels, ensuring adherence to corporate human resource policies and procedures.
Responsible for supporting the recruiting, interviewing, and screening of candidates.
Responsible for day-to-day employee relations issues.
Supports the development of department career paths; evaluates and recommends job development and career path opportunities for department staff with a focus on retaining quality colleagues at MMA.
Oversees the ongoing development and implementation of the department’s new hire training path.
Coaches and mentors Unit Leaders, department colleagues, and agency colleagues.
Oversees salary administration and performance review process in coordination with the Practice Leader and Human Resources.
Operational :
Responsible for ensuring departmental compliance with national, regional, and local policies and procedures, including required compliance documentation and records retention.
Facilitates communication among all department colleagues related to systems, procedures, vendor information, products, industry developments and regulatory updates. Maintains an atmosphere conducive to learning and initiative.
Monitors staffing needs of the department making recommendations to the Practice Leader.
Coordinates and/or leads regular department and staff meetings as needed.
Oversees department audit program related to service standards, data quality, and compliance documentation.
Oversees the implementation and ongoing integration of MMA tools and resources into department workflow, processes, and procedures. Ensures adequate documentation and training for all department colleagues.
Maximizes the use of technology within the department workflow to improve client service, efficiency, and productivity.
Departmental :
Builds and maintains strong client, producer, colleague, and market relationships.
Coordinate special events with insurance carriers and vendors, such as training, presentations, continuing education, and social events.
Client Service and Retention
Coordinates with the Practice Leader to update and maintain segment-focused scopes of service and client service matrix to ensure appropriate level of client service and contact for all accounts.
Ensures department colleagues follow all processes and procedures, meeting established timelines, and maintaining quality standards.
Supports the resolution of escalated client service issues.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
A college degree or equivalent experience is required.
A minimum of 10 years of insurance industry experience is required.
5-8 years of experience managing client relationships is required.
Managerial or supervisory experience is preferred.
Strong leadership and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across all sectors of the organization.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects while ensuring timely and accurate deliverables, with effective problem-solving and resolution skills.
Ability to demonstrate professional negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
Empowers colleagues and holds them accountable to MMA’s high standards.
Strong organization skills with the ability to manage upward.
Superior listening, written and verbal communication skills; ability to professionally communicate information and respond to questions from leadership, colleagues, clients, and vendor partners.
Ability to read and interpret insurance and client-related policy and legal documents.
Ability to compile, analyze, interpret, and summarize information/data to facilitate decision-making.
Strong Microsoft Office and industry-specific computer software skills.

Georgia Life & Health Producer’s License maintained in good standing.
