Regional Director – Energy Storage Italy

Over the past 5 years has continued to expand as a major player in electricity storage.
As part of its international expansion in Europe, the company is looking for a Regional Director to be based in Italy and lead a long-term project, implementing ultra-fast car charging and energy storage systems in Sardinia and then whole of Italy.
About the role:
As Regional Director you will be responsible for leading an expansion on the Italian market, both for the electricity storage as well as the ultra-fast charging activities. Your focus will be to identify and initiate business opportunities and to gather relevant permits to get the electricity storage and ultra-fast charging operations up and running. In parallel you will also work actively on recruiting a team of land developers and technical resources.
Summary:
• Experienced regional director required for projects in Italy
• Languages: Italy and English or French as a second language
• Individual will be responsible for commercial/ business development activities (development local market, land register agreements, developing partnerships with multiple location, lobbying (grid operations and local authorities), administration (permitting) and deployment (project management/operations of subcontractors executing civil and electrical work)
• Must be hands on with conceptual capabilities and entrepreneurial spirit
• Must have connections with local urban planning organisations and infrastructure
• Experienced in managing teams (5-10 people long term)
• Personality – proactive / autonomous/ good potential and risk taker / positive mindset
What you will do:
• Recruit and set up a team of land developers/prospectors
• Recruit and set up a technical and project management team
• Analyse required permits for the construction and operation of storage facilities and the associated procedures
• Implement industrialized development procedure and project progress reporting
• Manage and lead relations with developers, land prospectors and local suppliers
• Carry out applications for planning permission, connection permits and operating permits
• Ensure the follow up of all operations in Texas, including installation, connection works, operation, and maintenance
• Ensure the follow-up of the development of the projects and its reporting
• In close collaboration with the head office’s centralized services, ensure the administrative, accounting, and financial follow-up of the local subsidiary
