Regional Director - Business Solutions (East Coast)

**What You'll Do**
This role expands Life and Disability Distribution's presence in the small to medium sized business marketplace on the East Coast. You'll provide training and development to Brokerage General agencies, Principal Financial Network and advisors/brokers on advanced case design for business owners and share executive solutions.
Here are a few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:
+ Grow relationships with all intermediaries (Independent and Principal Financial Network) in assigned territory for the purpose of generating life and disability insurance.
+ Build effective partnerships with other Principal wholesalers and home office colleagues to identify new advisor relationships.
+ Provide subject matter expertise to Brokerage General Agents and advisors/brokers on executive solutions.
+ Conduct training and education via in person presentations and virtual.
+ Develop extensive knowledge, skills and networking contacts through professional education, industry meetings, and company workshops.

**Who You Are**
+ Bachelor's degree or eight years of equivalent experience required, with 5+ years of life or disability wholesaling experience.
+ CLU, CFP, or ChFC designations preferred.
+ Licenses and/or exams necessary for this position include:
+ Life, Health and Variable Life insurance license within 60 days of hire with appointment in state of residence.
+ Securities registration is required upon hire or within 90 days of employment. Securities exams and IAR appointment include Series 6 and 63 as required by applicable state law to become IAR with Principal Securities, Inc. RIA.
+ Cannot participate in any solicitation until properly licensed.
+ Excellent knowledge of universal life, variable life insurance, disability insurance, annuities, and mutual funds required.
+ Strong knowledge base of Business Owner advanced sales solutions and concepts.
+ Must have excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, presentation, and oral and written communication skills.
+ Requires a high degree of confidentiality.
+ Ability to work in excess of 40 hours is needed at times. Travel required up to 50%, including overnight stays. Requires the ability to be on-call for job responsibilities.
**Salary Range Information**
This position offers a competitive compensation package consisting of a base salary combined with incentive earnings. The base salary will provide financial stability, while the incentive component offers additional earning potential based on performance metrics.
**Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)**
$80000 - $80000 / year
**Time Off Program**
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
