We are looking for a Regional Controller EU based in Bonn, Germany or Maastricht, Netherlands.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?Advice and Support Countries and Regional management on financial matters related to OtC, Month end Reporting, Costing, Commercial Reporting
Month end Process and Reporting:
Participate in the month-end calls with the Country CFOs to understand the monthly development and trends.Prepare monthly EUMB Reports and other monthly packs for senior management.Develop and maintain CREST templates for regional/country usage in respective area of responsibility.Perform monthly checks and analysis on P&L & Notes in CREST.Be able to lead the regional month end, working day 3 flash process. Communicate the regional result to global colleagues.Support the month end DDI close and recharge process.OtC:
Work in cooperation with regional head of OtC to improve performance and address improvement opportunities.Support regional head of OtC with reporting and analytical requirements.Involve into functional project driven by Global OtC (cooperating with or replacing the regional head of OtC) with the aim to apply change management and convergency within the EU community.Support preparation of Monthly EUMB Reports and other monthly packs for senior Management. (for relevant areas of responsibility).Provide support to Country CFOs and OtC managers on correct OtC practice.Involvement in regional Cash Flow monitoring and reporting.Other:
Influence countries on controlling issues, including ability to interpret and give guidance on respective items.Communicate information and analysis to senior management. Present information in intuitive and innovative ways.Lead digitalization initiatives, to allow countries to perform clear and efficient analysisKey Capabilities:
Thorough and expert understanding of DP DHL Finance (especially Express) and Controlling Guidelines (ECM, Chart of accounts, Detailed Account Descriptions).Do you have what it takes?Preferred University degree with broad financial knowledge.Min 6 years work experience in a Finance Controlling environment / in similar role.Excellent understanding and experience in Financial Analysis and Reporting with attention to analytical skills, problem solving and administrative skills.Technical knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) with the combined excellent understanding of financial accounting processes and guidelines such as Crest system and TM1.Demonstrate initiative and self-drive to achieve objectives while working independently to a high level of accuracy and reliability.Stakeholder relationship competence and ability to successfully manage and work closely with the expectations of colleagues, senior management, and work closely with regional team.Ability to cope with a broad range of tasks with varying level of complexity and detail, while staying organized.Deadline driven and able to work under pressure and be flexible to meet deadlines.Understand business dynamics and ability to think globally, while working with multicultural, diverse and global environment.Team player, able to work efficiently with counterparts in Global and Regional Controlling.Persistent and pragmatic style of working, who will also stand up and challenge the status quo to improve processes.A track record of using critical thinking to support business goals through creative and innovative thinking to solve high impact/complex problems.
