Description We are looking for a skilled Regional Controller to join our client's team in Memphis, Tennessee. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with expertise in cost accounting, financial analysis, and month-end closing processes within the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing regional financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities: • Prepare and oversee monthly financial closings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. • Conduct thorough cost accounting analyses to evaluate manufacturing expenses and identify opportunities for cost optimization. • Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting principles across all regional financial activities. • Utilize ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP for financial reporting and data management. • Perform cost allocation and analysis to support budgeting and forecasting efforts. • Monitor and analyze production costs within mills to provide actionable insights to management. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial planning initiatives. • Maintain accurate accounting records and reconcile discrepancies in financial data. • Assist in auditing processes and ensure adherence to internal controls. • Provide financial reports and recommendations to regional leadership for strategic decision-making. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Proven experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment. • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting standards and principles. • Proficiency in ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms. • Skilled in performing month-end closings and financial reconciliations. • Certification as a CPA is highly desirable. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft tools, including SCCM. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data effectively.
