Regional Controller
Overview: The Regional Controller role is a director level position that requires a highly efficient, detail-oriented, proactive individual. Multi-cost center experience is preferred. The Regional Controller works closely with the local General Managers, Operation Directors and Regional Vice Presidents to provide monthly financial statements, variance analysis, forecasts, along with analyzing profitability, cash flow, and other financial data. This role manages the financial and administrative activities of the assigned divisions to assure compliance with corporate policy and procedure.

Responsibilities: Responsible for month end close and variance analysis for all assigned cost centers and divisions.Position oversees financial analysts assigned to the specific divisions and/or cost centers.Support VP Finance for communication with corporate financial department;Support operations with administrative assistance and financial literacy.Monitor account receivable collection, provide regular reconciliation of cash, and analysis of overdue receivables to management;Analyze and approve payables over General Manager threshold.Reconcile pass through accounts monthly.Establish and maintain systems for cost-sensitivity analysis and early-warning of cost-overrunsMake recommendations for cost savings and efficiency improvementsCoordinate the preparation of the annual budget process and assist the General Managers and divisions heads in the preparation of the budget and forecasts.Prepare or assist in the creation of financial projections used to make strategic and tactical decisions designed to improve financial results.Ensure adherence and compliance with company policy and procedure while also providing counsel to the General Managers and management team. Reports directly to Vice President of Finance. Works closely with the Regional Operations team.Prepares, coordinates other reporting requirements as required at a local, regional and corporate level.Presents monthly financials to operations and corporate finance.Assists the RVPs and General Managers in the analysis of operational data (KPI’s). Candidate must develop a central understanding of the profitability drivers of the OrganizationAssist operations in CAPEX procurement process.Involved in providing new business and contract re-procurement support to operational and business development personnel.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications: Experience Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent required.5-10 years experience in assessment of financial performance required. CPA and/or MBA preferred. Skills and Knowledge RequiredAbility to analyze financial results and assist location management with the development of action plans to maintain performance levels and profitability expectations.Proficiency with standard computer programs. Knowledge of JDE and Hyperion Planning is highly preferred.Strong organizational and communication skills (both oral and written).Ability to work efficiently and accurately with little direct supervision.Detail-oriented and results-driven.Ability to solve problems in a practical and pragmatic manner.Travel requirement outside of the immediate area: 10-20% Physical Requirements: Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
