Description We are looking for an experienced Regional Controller to provide financial leadership across multiple manufacturing facilities in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role is pivotal in supporting operational strategies through financial analysis, cost management, and performance insights. The ideal candidate will play a hands-on role in driving efficiency, ensuring compliance, and fostering continuous improvement within the finance function. Responsibilities: • Oversee the month-end financial close process for four manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP standards and industry-specific regulations. • Conduct detailed reviews of costs, expenditures, and plant-related balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and reliability. • Implement and maintain robust internal control processes, addressing deficiencies and mitigating business risks as they arise. • Support the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting cycles, delivering reliable cost projections and aligning performance metrics with key financial indicators. • Provide detailed product costing and variance analysis to identify opportunities for cost control and efficiency improvements. • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver financial reporting and analytics that drive operational productivity and strategic decision-making. • Manage inventory accounting processes, including standard costing and reconciliation, to maintain accuracy and transparency. • Track fixed assets and capital projects, ensuring proper accounting and compliance with financial standards. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance financial systems, processes, and reporting. • Act as a trusted business partner to operations, supporting strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred. • At least 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on manufacturing and cost accounting. • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and demonstrated expertise in implementing and maintaining internal controls. • Proven experience in inventory management, standard costing, and financial processes specific to manufacturing environments. • Familiarity with fixed asset accounting and capital project tracking in a manufacturing setting. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish strong business partnerships with various stakeholders. • Advanced planning and execution capabilities, coupled with a track record of driving systems and process improvements. • Proficiency in Microsoft SCCM and other financial management tools.
