**Job Title: Ammonia Refrigeration Technician** **Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Ammonia Refrigeration Technician with a minimum of two years of experience in industrial refrigeration within a food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and must be able to pass a respirator fit test, function test, and a 24-hour hazmat test. EPA Type II certification is required, and a certification from GCAP or RETA is preferred.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate, test, troubleshoot, and repair ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, hot water, domestic cold water, and compressed air systems.
+ Perform planned maintenance on all ammonia refrigeration and utility systems.
+ Maintain the material integrity of the refrigeration and utility rooms according to best practices.
+ Conduct ammonia system pump downs for repairs or replacement of parts.
+ Complete all necessary documentation, including PSM-related modifications, Work Orders, and refrigeration system notes.
+ Automate and digitize maintenance, refrigeration, and ammonia records.
+ Adhere to safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
+ Conduct daily rounds and inspections of ammonia system temperatures and conditions.
+ Perform chemical tests on boilers and condenser towers.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 2 years of ammonia refrigeration experience in an industrial environment.
+ EPA Type II certification.
+ Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, pneumatics, and VFDs.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ammonia certification from GCAP or RETA is preferred.
+ Experience with operating and maintaining spiral freezers.
+ General maintenance and electrical knowledge.

**Work Environment**
This role is based in a refrigerated food manufacturing plant where adherence to GMPs is essential. You will work in shifts, with available positions on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. The facility provides gowns, steel-toed boots, and necessary tools, though employees may bring their own basic tools if desired. New hires will undergo orientation and GMP training during their first week.

This is a Permanent position based out of Dulles, VA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.

I have breakdown of full benefits but here is summary - The cost for single coverage is around $100/ month. Family Coverage is around $250 / Month. No Deductible; $2500 max out of pocket per year for singles, $5000 for families.
401(k) Program
Client will match $1 for every $3 up to 2% of pay for all eligible employees after 1 year of service
Paid Time Off
