**A caregiver in this position works day + on-call requirements, 7:00am - 3:30pm.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Regularly inspect, diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems.
+ Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration/air conditioning systems and other equipment, such as refrigerators, freezers, walk-in coolers, medical and process chillers, cooling equipment, cryogenic freezers and rooftop heating/cooling units.
+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic controls, solid state microprocessors and system alarms.
+ Repair refrigerant leaks and evacuate and adjust refrigerant charges.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ High school diploma or GED
+ State of Ohio EPA approved certificate for either Type I and Type II or Universal Refrigerant Systems Service
+ Three years of experience as a commercial/residential air conditioning refrigeration technician. Military experience as a Machinists Mate, Utilities man, Utilities Equipment Repairer or a similar role will be considered
+ Formal vocational classroom study in refrigeration, air conditioning and/or air handling may substitute up to 1 year of experience
+ Can read electric schematic diagrams
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Completion of a formal HVAC/Refrigeration training program
+ Work experience in a hospital setting
