**Hourly Range:** $24.99 – $33.73 (DOE)
PeaceHealth is seeking a **Referral Coordinator** to join our dedicated team at **Sacred Heart Medical Center** . In this full-time, onsite role, you’ll provide critical support in coordinating referrals, processing referral, securing insurance authorizations, and ensuring patients receive the care they need.
**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (occasional weekend coverage may be required).
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Manage referrals (includes registration process in EMR), notifications, and insurance pre-authorization requests.
+ Obtain and track reauthorizations to ensure ongoing patient care coverage.
+ Communicate with patients, physicians, specialists, insurance companies, and referral sources to coordinate services.
+ Ensure compliance with insurance carrier and Medicare documentation requirements.
+ Collaborate with billing staff and third-party payors to confirm coverage.
+ Support care teams with accurate documentation, filing, and clerical support.
**Qualifications:**
+ Minimum 3 years’ experience working with insurance in a medical-related field (required).
+ Business coursework or two years of college preferred.
+ Preferred: Certification/licensure as a Medical Assistant (CMA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN – Oregon), or Registered Nurse (RN).
+ Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
