Job Title: Recruiting Manager

Job Description

Supervise a department of administrative personnel to ensure timely and accurate support to leadership and hourly employees. Lead and mentor assigned administrative personnel by conducting regular coaching sessions to provide feedback and professional development. Collaborate with management for hiring and termination decisions, and participate in hourly workforce planning to meet facility goals.

Responsibilities

Manage the plant hourly recruiting process, ensuring a robust and compliant hiring process for candidates and plant leadership.Source qualified candidates by determining the most effective recruiting sources and coordinating with external staffing and advertising providers.Administer hourly postings and candidate progression through the applicant tracking system.Oversee and ensure timely execution of administrative processes such as payroll reporting, personnel changes, new hire orientations, leave of absence administration, and performance review tracking.Recommend and support the implementation of retention initiatives to maintain staffing levels and facilitate a positive workplace culture.Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support targeted recruiting campaigns and onsite hiring events.Ensure compliance with all rules, policies, and procedures for administrative functions and employee records.Coordinate communications and activities during annual internal audits.Assist with the administration of various plant safety metrics and record keeping.Work with Building Products and corporate Human Resources to ensure alignment with policies, processes, and legal requirements.Provide support in scheduling and coordinating plant functions and trainings, including safety training and corporate trainings.Schedule plant focus groups, facilitate as needed, track and consolidate feedback, provide recommendations to plant leadership, and assist in following up on action items.Complete special projects as assigned.

Essential Skills

Recruiting and management skills.Minimum 5 years of administrative experience, including at least 2 years of progressive leadership experience.Bachelor’s or Associate degree strongly preferred.Experience handling confidential information.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated coaching abilities.Fluent in MS Office tools including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.Experience with timekeeping and/or HRIS systems.Excellent problem-analysis, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.Experience working with cross-functional teams and a demonstrated commitment to customer service.Outstanding reliability, with strong planning and organizational skills.Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Preference for candidates with administrative experience in a manufacturing or production environment.Ability to cross-train and travel to other plants and locations as needed.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing plant, operating Monday through Friday, with work hours from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The company is family-owned, fostering a smaller, close-knit work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Thurmont, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $68000.00 - $78000.00/yr.
