Job Description
This role serves as a key bridge between the company and community resources to attract, recruit, and develop a skilled workforce. The recruiter leads full-cycle recruiting efforts, builds strong partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations, and supports training, apprenticeship, and mentorship programs to ensure a robust pipeline of technical and manufacturing talent.
Responsibilities
Lead full-cycle recruiting for all open positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, and candidate communication.Identify and attract qualified candidates through job boards, social media, professional networks, community organizations, and other channels.Review resumes, conduct phone screenings, and schedule and coordinate all interviews with hiring teams.Collaborate with company leadership to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies for technical, manufacturing, and industrial roles.Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current openings and anticipated future roles.Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local technical schools, colleges, and vocational programs to support ongoing talent needs.Recruit students from technical and vocational programs and coordinate site visits, internships, and co-op programs.Organize and host company tours, information sessions, and job fairs for students and community members.Plan, attend, and represent the company at job fairs and community career events.Manage and coordinate the company’s apprenticeship program, ensuring a positive experience for participants and alignment with business needs.Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and external educational and community partners.Implement training programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders to support workforce development.Prepare reports on the effectiveness of recruitment, training, and outreach initiatives, and recommend improvements based on data and feedback.Work closely with Operations to support the effective implementation and monitoring of the mentorship program.Research, identify, and apply for relevant training and development opportunities and resources.Lead all social media and community outreach efforts related to recruiting, employer branding, and workforce development.Maintain accurate and detailed records of candidates, events, and outreach activities using applicant tracking systems and standard office tools.Essential Skills
1–3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a technical, manufacturing, or industrial environment.Experience recruiting in a corporate or company setting.Background in HR or a similar role within a manufacturing or machining company.1–3 years of experience specifically as a recruiter for a manufacturing company.Experience with technical recruiting and onboarding processes.Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS).Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for reporting, communication, and record-keeping.Proven experience attending and supporting job fairs, planning recruiting events, and conducting community outreach.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly to diverse audiences.Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, educators, community partners, and internal personnel.Solid understanding of the machining industry, related technologies, and labor market trends.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate events, and maintain detailed records.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, and hiring for technical and industrial roles.Experience managing or supporting internship, co-op, and apprenticeship programs.Experience leading or supporting mentorship programs in a manufacturing or technical environment.Familiarity with social media outreach strategies for employer branding and candidate engagement.Comfort engaging with community organizations and educational institutions to promote career opportunities.Technical training or education in HR is a plus but not required.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments to align recruiting and training initiatives with business goals.Work Environment
This is a fully in-office position with a standard daytime schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The role operates in a professional office environment within a manufacturing or machining company, using typical office technology such as computers, phones, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office. The recruiter frequently interacts with internal teams, students, educators, and community partners, and may spend time both in the office and at external events such as job fairs, site visits, and community outreach activities.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Natrona Heights, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.85 - $33.65/hr.
