The Assessments’ businesses design, deliver, and score educational and professional
assessments serving K-12 students, students entering college and educators seeking
professional credentials. Each year, upwards of 18,000 temporary employees are recruited
and hired to work on a temporary basis to prepare materials and score assessments for 40+
customers.
Our Human Resources Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, hiring and supporting temporary
employees to work in the Assessment business group. The recruiter will partner directly with
business leaders, providing valuable insights into the labor market in order to develop plans
to meet business objectives.
Scope of work
● Recruit, interview and select qualified candidates for high volume temporary positions
● Ascertain the best recruiting method for filling approved vacancies and take appropriate
action, taking into account the Company’s Affirmative Action goals, diversity initiatives and
budgetary constraints
● Develop sourcing strategies for hard to fill positions, identify issues and develop plans to
reduce time to fill
● Partner with business leaders to strategize and deliver quality talent
● Effectively partner and collaborate closely with global HR team to ensure business
deliverables are met
● Ensure all internal and external job postings are maintained and up to date
● Provide human resources consultation and guidance to managers and employees to include
counseling on policy interpretation and hiring processes

Education, Skills and Knowledge
● Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline preferred
● 1-2 years of experience in sourcing and recruitment
● Able to communicate at all levels of the organization and an interpersonal style that builds
positive professional relationships
● Ability to exercise good judgment and be sensitive to employee needs while balancing the
goals of the company
● Must have a good understanding of the functional areas of human resources with the ability
to understand business issues and strategies and integrate human resources processes and
programs in support of these strategies
● Strong comprehension of employment law and current industry trends
● Ability to influence and negotiate beyond scope of control
● Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
● High degree of confidentiality and a strong personal value system
● Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work independently
● Proven experience in developing and executing plans, demonstrating sound judgment and
problem-solving abilities
● Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
