Job Description

This role focuses on high-volume talent sourcing and recruiting across a variety of job families in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. You will concentrate on the top of the recruiting funnel by identifying, engaging, and qualifying passive and active candidates, particularly for niche and hard-to-fill roles. The position supports an experimental project designed to create an agile recruiting workforce that can quickly respond to changing hiring demands across technical and non-technical functions.

Responsibilities

Recruit, source, and engage candidates for a wide range of roles, including non-technical, hardware, data engineering, software development engineering, and other job families as needed.Focus on top-of-funnel activities, including identifying and reaching out to passive candidates and building strong talent pipelines for niche and hard-to-fill positions.Conduct candidate outreach through multiple channels to generate interest and maintain a steady flow of qualified candidates.Perform phone screens to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and fit for open roles, and document outcomes clearly and accurately.Coordinate and set up assessments and business phone screens with hiring teams and stakeholders.Prepare candidates for interviews by providing clear expectations, process overviews, and guidance on next steps.Use an applicant tracking system (ATS) and Excel to track candidates, maintain accurate records, and manage recruiting workflows.Produce regular reports and metrics related to candidate pipeline, outreach, and progress toward weekly and monthly targets.Collaborate closely with recruiting peers, including corporate and technical recruiters, to align on priorities, share insights, and ensure a consistent candidate experience.Interact with recruiting management and hiring stakeholders in supported teams to understand hiring needs and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.Conduct interviews, check references, extend offers, and support orientation and onboarding activities when needed.Perform exit interviews and process changes in employee status as required.Contribute to the planning and accomplishment of recruiting goals by applying sound judgment, creativity, and best practices.Lead and direct aspects of the recruiting process or the work of others when appropriate, leveraging experience to support the broader recruiting team.Meet or exceed weekly and monthly performance metrics and productivity targets in a fast-paced environment.Participate in recruiter ramp and onboarding training and apply learnings quickly to become fully productive.

Essential Skills

3–5 years of experience as a recruiter or talent acquisition professional, preferably in a related field or industry.Bachelor’s degree (BA).Proven experience in passive candidate recruiting, including proactively sourcing and engaging candidates rather than relying solely on inbound applications.Demonstrated success filling niche and hard-to-fill roles in competitive talent markets.Experience with high-volume recruiting and the ability to deliver a large number of qualified candidates within tight timeframes.Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) for managing candidates and requisitions.Proficiency with Excel for tracking data, reporting, and analyzing recruiting metrics.Strong communication skills, including clear, professional verbal and written communication with candidates and internal stakeholders.Ability to pivot quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and support different job families as business needs evolve.Experience with full cycle recruiting and technical sourcing.Familiarity with a variety of recruiting concepts, practices, and procedures, and the ability to apply sound judgment to accomplish goals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience recruiting within a technology company or Fortune 500 environment.Experience in either corporate or agency recruiting; agency recruiting experience is highly valued.Experience sourcing for corporate and technical roles, including engineering and other specialized positions.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-oriented, goal-driven culture with weekly and monthly performance targets.Comfort working on an experimental or pilot recruiting project and contributing to process improvements.Experience reporting on recruiting metrics and using data to inform decisions and optimize sourcing strategies.Ability to collaborate effectively with peers, managers, and recruiting leadership across different teams.Former experience recruiting for similar large-scale or high-growth organizations is a plus.

Work Environment

This role is 100% onsite in an Austin office and operates within a fast-paced, data-oriented, and productivity-focused recruiting organization. You will work closely with a central manager, recruiting peers, and recruiting management from the teams you support. The environment emphasizes agility, with an experimental project structure designed to deploy recruiters to pockets of demand across multiple job families. The culture is goal-driven, with clear weekly and monthly metrics and performance indicators that guide day-to-day priorities. You will experience frequent candidate interactions, regular meetings with recruiter peers, and consistent collaboration with internal stakeholders. The position follows a structured onboarding process, including approximately one week of recruiter ramp training, and does not require work on holidays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
