rehab techniques Our dedication to delivering personalized coordinated care coupled with the healing environment offered by this new unit will shorten length of stay and allow our patients a quicker and healthier return to home OverviewWersquore seeking a dedicated and caring Recreational Therapist to be part of an experienced team that brings decades of experience in providing the most innovative care This position will treat patients of all diagnoses with a focus on stroke traumatic brain or spinal cord injuries as well as other neurological conditions Our new unit will feature a collaborative interdisciplinary team atmosphere and approach to patient care This is a great opportunity to work in a special inpatient rehab setting while still having access to the opportunities and benefits available in a system with a full continuum of rehab carePosition DescriptionThe Recreational Therapist is responsible for providing evaluation and treatment upon physician referral to a patient population consisting of varying diagnosis The Recreational Therapist will assess identify and treat all areas of deficits impacting leisure social interaction skills community resources and community re entry The Recreational Therapist provides instruction and education to the patientcaregiver to promote the safe execution of the facilitator techniques taught BenefitsHartford Hospital
