Job Title: Recreation Therapist

Hours Per Week: 37.5
Schedule: Monday-Friday, either 8-4:30 or 9-5
SUMMARY:
As a Recreation Therapist, your compassion and creativity assist in keeping our community physically and mentally healthy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes a comprehensive assessment of client’s needs, restrictions, limitations, and preferences
Develops and implements individual treatment programs and group Therapeutic Recreation programs
Documents evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress reports, and other reports as required by the profession and the department
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
NEURO-BEHAVIORAL UNIT ONLY: Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy, Music or Art Therapy, Human Services, Gerontology or related fields preferred.
Experience in specialty area preferred.
Previous experience planning, organizing, and implementing a quality activity program in a long term care setting preferred.
ElderONE EMPLOYMENT: 1 year experience with frail elderly population preferred
