Summary This position is located at Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Fund Golf in Detroit Arsenal, MI. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Responsibilities Serves as a Recreation Specialist within the Recreation Program Team involved with planning, organizing, and conducting facility recreation programs for the community. Organizes, plans, and evaluate community programs that reflect community interests. Works in executing community-wide recreation events, programs and services to meet the diversified needs of the community, i.e.: social activities; tournaments and other major programs such as ethnic, patriotic and holiday observances. Recommends items if supplies, materials, prizes, decorations, refreshments, and equipment needed for program functions. Assists with training new personnel. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience OR a combination of experience and education that provided the knowledge of the goals, principles, methods, and techniques of recreation programs and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups. 2. Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree with major study in outdoor recreation and parks; recreation management; youth, public, urban or community recreation; or special population recreation is qualifying experience.
