What You'll Do
Direct and manage a comprehensive activities program that meets the interests and supports the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
Conduct and document activity assessments as part of the comprehensive resident assessment process and contribute to individualized care plans.
Plan, develop, and implement a diverse calendar of individual and group activities based on resident needs, interests, and abilities.
Supervise, train, and schedule recreation staff and volunteers to ensure quality programming and adequate coverage.
Maintain accurate and complete documentation of activity assessments, care plans, and resident participation in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure a holistic approach to resident care.
Manage the activities department budget, supplies, and equipment.
Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.
What You Need
CMS qualification for Activities Director preferred (CTRS, state certification, or approved training course). Willing to support the right candidate in obtaining certification.
Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising staff and volunteers.
Creative and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for enhancing the quality of life for the elderly.
Knowledge of MDS 3.0 and care planning processes preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
