The recreation attendant at Miraval The Red Sea is responsible for supporting the smooth operation of all outdoor recreational and pool areas, including fitness zones, activity courts, relaxation decks, and beachside or movement spaces. With a strong focus on guest service, cleanliness, and safety, this role plays a vital part in delivering a seamless and elevated experience that reflects Miraval's philosophy of presence, well-being, and intentional hospitality.

The recreation attendant ensures that all wellness, fitness, beach and pool environments are consistently clean, serene, and guest-ready, providing attentive support and contributing to an atmosphere of calm and vitality.

Key responsibilities: Guest support & experience:
Welcome and assist guests in all wellness areas, providing towels, water, orientation, and light equipment support. Anticipate guest needs, offering proactive, professional, and discreet service aligned with Miraval's mindful guest care standards. Respond to guest inquiries about fitness classes, wellness activities, spa treatments, pool use, F&B offerings and resort amenities with clarity and warmth. Maintain a calm, attentive presence that contributes to a relaxing and supportive environment. Facility & pool area maintenance:
Ensure that pools, fitness spaces, courts, and relaxation decks are clean, safe, and aesthetically aligned with Miraval standards at all times. Set up and reset pool loungers, umbrellas, hydration stations, and outdoor furniture throughout the day. Restock pool and recreation amenities such as towels, water, sun care products, and wellness items as needed. Report any issues related to pool water quality, furniture, lighting, or guest concerns to the fitness & recreation manager, housekeeping, security or engineering team. Assist with light upkeep and equipment maintenance for both recreation and poolside areas. Safety, hygiene & compliance:
Uphold all health, hygiene, and safety protocols as outlined by Miraval and in compliance with Saudi Arabia's wellness and hospitality regulations. Monitor guest behavior and capacity in pool and recreation areas, ensuring a respectful and peaceful atmosphere for all guests. Maintain correct handling and sanitization of equipment, towels, and supplies. Support first-response protocols in the event of a guest incident, communicating clearly and swiftly with the appropriate teams. Team collaboration & operational support:
Collaborate closely with fitness, spa, wellbeing, F&B, guest services to support wellness events, fitness classes, and special programming in outdoor or aquatic areas. Assist with class setups (e.g., mats, sound systems, props) and poolside events or activations when required. Maintain accurate checklists and operational routines for recreation and pool zones to ensure consistent presentation. Help coordinate flow between treatment areas, classes, and wellness spaces by communicating with team members and anticipating guest movements. Program awareness & promotion:
Stay updated on the daily activity schedule and inform guests or coordinate with planning & scheduling team of upcoming fitness classes, aqua sessions, recreational programs, or private training availability. Mindfully encourage guest participation in wellness offerings, enhancing the overall journey through thoughtful engagement. Provide accurate and helpful information about Miraval's wellness philosophy and programming upon guest inquiry. Qualifications & experience: Experience in a luxury hospitality, spa, recreation, or wellness environment preferred. Basic understanding of fitness equipment, outdoor activities, and pool operations is an advantage. Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors for extended periods. CPR/First Aid certification preferred; lifeguard certification is a plus. Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an asset. Skills & attributes: Friendly, service-oriented, and calm under pressure. Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high standards of cleanliness and presentation. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Physically capable of moving, setting up, and organizing pool and recreation equipment. Passionate about hospitality, wellness, and creating memorable guest experiences. About the Company
