Job Description Recovery Worker - Adults Mental Health

Location: Penrith, 30 hours per week

Working for a leading charity who support people with mental health, drug & alcohol and housing issues, we are seeking a Recovery Worker to join their team in Penrith. This organisation is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges.

The role & responsibilities:Provide one-to-one support to individuals experiencing mental health issues at the supported accommodation service, and out in the community.Support clients to help create support plans unique to their needs.Conduct regular assessments and reviews of client progress.Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive support.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress.Encourage and motivate clients to engage in their recovery journey.Work flexibly on a 30 hour per week contract which may include weekends and working early and late shifts.Provide support to residents with attending appointments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:Experience in supporting adults with mental health issues or within similar settingsKnowledge of housing support services and community resources.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with mental health issues.Relevant qualifications in health and social care, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.Car driver with access to own vehicle.
